Hello Product Hunt, Thank you @chrismessina! Honored to be hunted by you. We created offCents to provide a simple, accurate and relevant way to reduce your carbon footprint. By emitting 37 billion tonnes of CO2 per year, we are quickly depleting our carbon budget to remain under the critical 2 degrees warming mark. Transportation accounts for 28% of U.S. carbon emissions. We hope offCents will encourage individuals to be more aware of their footprint from travel and to take action. offCents automatically detects your travel and calculates your footprint from each trip. You can offset your emissions by choosing to offset any number of your car, train or airplane trips with just a tap. Or, subscribe to one of our monthly plans and offCents will automatically offset your trips for you. Your offsets go to fund carbon reducing projects such as landfill gas capture, protection of forests and renewable energy. We currently support four projects with more on the way. We will also be launching a solution for business users whereby you can classify trips as either business or personal. This way businesses can support their employee's efforts to offset travel for work. We hope to further incentivize users to participate through our rewards and to find more ways to support the conversion to renewable energy sources.
