ob1 is the first auto-generative backend. It creates your entire backend needs including functions, schema, and it'll even spin up a database if you don't have one. Currently it's in private beta, but we were so excited that we had to share it!

πŸŒ• ✨ Hello Product Hunt community, happy Tuesday! We are Outerbase the team behind ob1. You have already probably seen many AI generative UI and design tools, but this is truly the first generative backend tool. Our goal is to make development so easy that you can generate entire backends instantly with AI. πŸ™‹β€β™‚οΈ Start simply by using a prompt like "Make an e-commerce app" πŸ’» Use existing code to generate a backend and connect it to your frontend πŸ–ΌοΈ Upload an image and ob1 will figure out how to make it real πŸ“š Instant schema generations including the SQL/DDL to run it yourself ⌘ Generate Commands (functions) to power all the requests πŸš€ Deploy it all to Outerbase instantly ob1 takes your ideas and makes them real, it’s all powered by Outerbase, meaning your entire backend can be spun up in minutes not days. Letting you get back to building your business not your infrastructure. We initially launched Outerbase 9 months ago on Product Hunt, and while we have been making many updates to the core platform, we felt ob1 was worth telling you all about. You were so receptive of our initial launch, we're sure you are going to love this. Our goal is to simplify your backend management, and now with AI, it has never been easier. Please sign up and check it out, and I'll let you all in on a little secret before we tell anyone else... we are going to be open-sourcing this entire project in the coming weeks. We're just cleaning up a few endpoints so that it'll run locally and globally! Thanks from the Outerbase team ❀️

@burcs nice to hear

@burcs Congrats on the launch Brandon. I wasn't able to try this as it doesn't allow to. What exactly can I expect as an output from this app. Does it generate the necessary documentation of the APIs and other stuff as well?
Brandon Strittmatter
Thank you @imraju we are letting people in every day so hopefully you will be able to try it out soon. Initially you will start out with a prompt, uploading your frontend code, or selecting an image, and then ob1 will output the sql necessary to stand up your database, and generates the http requests on top of it as well. From there you can deploy these directly on top of Outerbase, which will manage your database and the deploying the Commands (functions) for you. We try to be as thorough as we can when generating the Commands so while you won't have an official API documentation site off the bat, it will be easy to create one!

@heymanyow88 congratulations on the launch, best of luck πŸ¦„β™₯️
Paul Pamfil
The idea behind is quite impressive, congrats!
Brandon Strittmatter
@paul_pamfil appreciate it Paul, I truly think it's a game changer for developers. What's great is you can iterate on your existing database, so if you want to add more to your existing app you can do it instantly with Outerbase.
Hitesh Suthar
So now we just to need combine it with V0 and we have a full-stack web application builder ready with just a prompt.
Brandon Strittmatter
@hiteshsuthar Exactly! With tools like v0 and Magic Patterns, providing the frontend, ob1 and Outerbase can provide your complete backend, making it so you can stand up an entire full-stack app!

Do you use ob1 by Outerbase?
