In a vast sea of Chrome plugins, LLM skins, and dev tools... a FREE MOBILE APP RISES ABOVE THE REST. Numbies is Cash App for your bodyweight exercises, and we have an absolutely sick Submit button with a gradient color pop. More reps. More gradient. More life.
I wanted to have a bit more fun and do a bit less math while doing bodyweight exercises.
Lo and behold, the idea for Numbies was BORN!
I mocked it up in Figma, then quickly realized I do not know how to code.
Lo and behold part 2... we live in the era of AI-assisted programming!!!
Over the course of 2 weeks, I combined a sprinkle of Philip Davis' SwiftUI for Designers course with a dash of Meng To and about 30 heaping tablespoons of ChatGPT and found myself able to publish this awesome little utility to TestFlight.
A few months later I decided why not just put it on the App Store?
I hope you enjoy Numbies as much as I do.
The buttons are fun, it's super fast (the whole app is 6.5 MB), and data is stored 100% locally on your device.
Note: The fastest way to do 10,000 push ups is to enter 999 push ups 11 times. It typically doesn't take more than 1 minute to do this if you are able to give the app your full attention. I decided not to allow 4-digit sets because I know that is humanly impossible for all of these exercises.
@rrhoover currently working on a plugin that allows you to tell ChatGPT how many push ups you want to do each day. Syncs seamlessly with our API and enters the #s in for you on a set schedule!
@aaronoleary I had no idea what I was doing when I first started. My best tip is to just enter that first prompt and see where it goes. You’d be surprised how quickly you get better at communicating with it!
@ricardo_luz I personally find that just the basic bodyweight exercises go a long way! I also lift, run, and play sports, but I enjoy quick home workouts that I can do from my rug in 10 minutes.
