Hello Product Hunters 🙌 This is Sofia from Numbers Protocol, we’re excited to launch Numbers Search Engine to the product hunt community officially! 🧐**The problem** Many creators have opted to monetize their work on third-party platforms such as Shutterstock and Getty Images but forfeited the lion’s share of their photo sale profits and exclusivity rights. The decentralized ecosystem of Web3, specifically the NFT space, appeared to have a promising solution by opening the doorway for independent monetization and ownership rights for creators. However, transparent records buried in indigestible blockchain transactions and the overall inaccessibility of NFTs due to marketplace exclusivity and sheer size of the Web3.0 digital asset ecosystem has dampened its moment. 🔍**What is Numbers Search Engine?** Numbers Search Engine (NSE) is the Google for NFTs. With coverage extending over 150-million NFT tokens and 40 million assets, Numbers Search Engine is the most comprehensive explorer for digital media in the Web 3.0 space. Numbers Search Engine is intuitive and easy to use. Supporting traditional keyword searches, Web3.0 search methods (contract + token) as well as reverse image search, NSE combines straight forward queries with AI-powered similar image results to make the vast Web3.0 digital asset ecosystem just a simple search away. NSE doesn’t just crawl blockchain explorer for NFT tokens and regurgitate marketplace information, but provides dedicated asset profiles that details comprehensive attribution records including NFT characterization, Creator Profile, Integrity Records and even licensing. 💡Features and Capabilities The types of searches include: - Reverse image - Web 3.0 content ID (CID) - Contract + token - Keyword searches Each searched asset includes an associated Asset Profile, which details comprehensive attribution records such as - blockchain / token records - integrity records - NFT properties and licensing - MORE **Yes, it’s FREE**🥳 Go check out to experience the Web3 search! We appreciate any comments or feedback, please let us know what you think about Numbers Search Engine!

@rabbit_little1 Thank you for asking :) We wrote an article to explain how Numbers Search Engine work and why transparent licensing is the key to a robust web3.0 creator economy, you can take a look at it https://link.medium.com/fjoNtoMlNsb We will soon release a new article to show the meaning of "Asset Profile", before that, you can try to search random things on Numbers Search Engine and click the search result to see the asset profile :)

@sofia_yan2 Totally get the difference between other NFT search engine and Numbers Search Engine now. But I have another question, if I'm the creator, use your network to issue my NFT, and it shows the full info on the asset page, can it really protect my copyright? Can someone just copy and use it?

@rabbit_little1 Nice question! And we're glad you love the asset profile idea :) Under the current internet circumstances, your NFT image can still be right-clicked to download and save. Anyone who intends to use your image for minting another NFT on the marketplace, the NFT will be recognized as another asset with a different asset ID, contract address, and owner wallet with a different timestamp. However, since the full history can be found on the profile page of the search engine, one can use it to check the timestamp, creator, and contract address of each NFT token associated with it. We can not prevent the copy, but at least users now can have the "full picture" to see if the asset is trustworthy.

@sofia_yan2 Make sense, but I think I haven't been fully convinced... will think about it more, thanks for the reply! BTW, what's "Web 3.0 content ID (CID)" mean? I'm a newbie in web3, haha, trying to figure out more, does it means something like "fingerprint" of the content? Will the same content have different CIDs? As I know, a jpg can definitely have different tokens.

@rabbit_little1 Web 3.0 content ID, also known as a "CID", is a unique value used to identify files stored on the IPFS or Filecoin network. This CID value refers to a unique address on the Decentralized Web based on the content itself. If the file storage is valid, such as the file being pinned in the IPFS network, the address can be used to find the actual storage of the content itself :)

No surprise that this project has a lot of upvotes already. The product addresses a relevant issue. I've been following Numbers Search Engine since it was in Beta phase many months ago (back than it was called NFT Search Engine). The product has evolved quite a bit since. Super pleased with the final direction they went with!

Just tried the search, the asset profile page is a brilliant idea. The visual design is a bit weak but since it's a tool like google, keep it simple might be the best design. Looking forward to seeing it's developing and become the coolest Web3 search engine!
