What do you think? …

Guillermo López
Hello everyone! I am the founder of Numadoo. I decided to build this product after realizing all the typical struggles the average expat goes through when starting a new life in a different country. Usually, expats communities are organized in Facebook Groups, making finding relevant information sometimes a challenge since there is only one communication possibility on them: posts. I've spent countless hours finding recommendations for a handyman, and answers to common questions, and I often see the groups being flooded by the same questions time and time again simply because the organization of a Fb Group is not ideal to store information. With Numadoo I want to solve this problem by bringing all the good aspects of how expats communities are currently self-organized on Facebook -i.e: events, posts, sharing relevant news about the city, forums...- and providing the right information architecture and extra useful features such as FAQs, recommendations of places, contractors, lawyers, doctors, businesses, etc; into a user experience focused on making finding answers and connecting people.

Really good idea, totally understand the need as expat!

@julian_renard thank you for sharing your thoughts :) if you don’t mind me picking your brain a bit: what would you consider essential to see in an MVP? What would be the most important information or type of interaction you’d like to see in such a platform?
Julian Renard
@guillermo_lopez2 My city :-p It's probably the hardest part of this project. I live in a relatively small city in Thailand, so it's a big pain point. Living in a big city like Bangkok will be far easier. It will be awesome if you can find a hack to have inside your MVP many relatively small cities where there are foreigners, as I guess you will probably target big-city hubs first. About info and interaction, sports clubs and sports partners and small social places like bars where it is easy to meet new people can be interesting.

Does it work globally or is it just limited to some cities for the moment?
Guillermo López
@ethan_lamot Hi ethan! Thanks for your question. We're currently developing the app, so it's not available. The idea will be that it'll work globally as long as there's a community interested in using it. Nonetheless, we plan on giving the right tools to members and contributing through marketing efforts to reach smaller cities as well as bigger hubs of expats.
