The basic Reddit settings include "Label posts that are not safe for work (NSFW)" and "Hide images for NSFW/18+ content," and Reddit Enhancement Suite includes even more robust blocking features. What does this provide over and above those options?
@zefareu Great question. I built this extension as the simplest way to completely hide all NSFW links on reddit.
Unlike reddit's settings, it doesn't simply label posts as NSFW or just hide just the images - this extension completely hides every NSFW-marked content (image, link, upvotes/downvotes, buttons) - so you can browse reddit without any NSFW content at all. Also reddit's NSFW tags are bright red which is so counter-productive because it draws attention to it for you and anyone walking by your desk at work. You're right, RES may have this feature among it's entire swath of options. RES is a swiss knife. This chrome extension is a screwdriver that does just one thing and does it well.
Try it out and let me know what you think! It's free. :)
