When remote work boomed, the sudden lack of hallway conversations, unexpected casual encounters, and informal meeting debriefs on the walk from the conference room created a big gap. As a remote worker, and as many coworkers return to the office now, the challenge is amplifying. This is a solution I have dreamed of, this is an example of an ideal online environment that replicates the experience of where the real productivity often happens, which is popping by someone's desk, or picking up that action item on the hallway conversation post meeting. I look forward to the day this virtual office space can be my reality. Thank you for bringing this to life.
The product looks amazing and has a great utilisation but it has that one room for some useful ai integration to make the most out if , cheers

Your meetings are about to change and take a whole new spin ! Get ready to supercharge boring virtual calls with an immersive get together place.
@themisty Congrats on your launch, Krishna! Thank you for letting me try it out in advance. I was absolutely hooked. I must say, making the meeting experience more gamified is a genius design I never would have imagined!

Congratulations on the launch of this product!! However, could there be potential challenges in maintaining smooth communication if the platform experiences high traffic or numerous simultaneous meetings? @themisty

@zimbra Concurrency issue is easily fixed by scaling servers. So the bottleneck would be server expenses.

Interesting. What did you see as missing from Gather.Town that caused you to make this using this for everyday meetings?
My last company, @Tandem , was maybe the first "virtual office", and I tend to believe that there are two types of approaches: skeuomorphic and non-skeuomorphic.
The advantage of the skeuomorphic approach is that it's very obvious at first glance what you can do. The disadvantage is that over time it becomes very heavy-weight to use on a day-to-day basis. Have you done anything to make repeated use better and to make the app more lightweight?

@rajiv_ayyangar Holy smokes ! @rajiv_ayyangar ji I was honestly waiting for you to comment :) as you were in the same niche. Now to answer your question, why would we just do another Gather town? The reason is simple, actually "Simplicity". Coming from Google meet, I wanted to fix the issue of overlap talking, and dormant video participants. Gather Town felt more of a permanent office than a quick meeting. As I was saying, coming from Google Meet, the idea was still to be able to join quick session, and be out. I basically put Gather on a Keto diet and made Noniliion.

@rajiv_ayyangar Thank you :) yes right now this version the focus is neutral. Like we do our own office meetings with devs on daily basis, and they are prescheduled, so we create a room with a pre-fixed name (pro feature). We just join the same room when we want.
Spatial audio indeed is a game changer. Few people recently tried in nonilion and they were like woah this is new. But I am surprised why it didnt get popular as its quite old tech.
