Nomadable is a search engine for cafes, coworking spaces where you can work/study from. Pros: 🗺 Easy-to-use map UI 🔍 Various search filter 🌐 Wifi speed data 🪙 Point system for contributors
Hi there, I'm the developer of the app. 👋
The description already explains what the product does, so I will try to explain why it's better than others.
First of all, I've used many similar services. Each of them has their own pros. However, what I was missing in these apps were:
❌ Not enough place data
❌ An inefficient search experience
Here's how I tackled these problems:
✅ Allowing users to submit & edit places
To tackle the lack of data, I made the submission of places freely available to users and added incentives by distributing points to those who discover places, test WiFi speed, post reviews, etc. These users are then credited on a leaderboard. This is kind of a risky route, but I believe it's the way to keep the information up-to-date.
✅ Interactive map + filters
To make the search experience better, I chose "interactive map" as the main user interface. With the interactive map, you can move around and zoom in-out on the map and still apply filters to narrow down places. It's an efficient and intuitive way to find the exact places you are looking for. (Actually, a lot of its UI ideas are borrowed from Airbnb because their map works great).

Ok, that's my motivation for this app. I hope it will be useful for people like me who work in different locations.
Lastly, this app isn't perfect yet and a lot of changes will be made in the future. If you have any suggestions, please don't hesitate to contact me.
@uzu_yuya wow, I need to try this out as I am planning to travel a lot and am always on the look out for comfortable space to work.
Congrats on the launch.
Nomadable currently has a lot to work on in terms of its data and community. As an early user, it's a great experience to contribute to all these places.
