Hey friends! 💡 I've been running the Bytesized newsletter for software developers since early 2018. Since then, newsletters have blown up—everyone is starting a newsletter or thinking about starting one, and with tools like ConvertKit and Substack, it's easier than ever. I've made lots of mistakes with my newsletter, but I've also had a ton of success: even though it isn't the biggest platform I have with my audience (that's probably Twitter), my newsletter is where I get the most engagement: almost 50% of my list (over 3,500 people) read every email I send out. You can't find that sort of reach anywhere else online! I've written Newsletter Bootcamp to help newsletter creators on their journey, whether they're just starting out or looking for tips on how to grow their newsletter into a huge publishing empire 💼 ⭐️ For just $10, you'll get a seven-day email course covering topics like starting your newsletter, how to get effective feedback, and how to monetize your list. I'm super excited to offer other formats too: a full PDF copy, and an audiobook (narrated by me!) for listening on the go 🎧 Here's what you'll learn in the course: 🤔 How to pick a newsletter idea that resonates with subscribers 🏃‍♀️ How to stay consistent and publish a newsletter every single week ⚡️ How to write fresh content and keep your newsletter engaging 📝 How to get effective feedback from your subscribers 📈 How to measure your newsletter's success 😎 How to monetize your newsletter I've been building Newsletter Bootcamp in public over the last few weeks as part of a info product challenge organized by @jsjoeio. It's been a blast to launch some of my cohorts' products on here—@colbyfayock and @jackharner—and now I'm stoked to launch my own! The course will always stay up-to-date, so as I add more content, you'll get new chapters, episodes in the audiobook series, and more. Super excited for the next six months of the bootcamp, too 😀 If you're interested, you can see the Twitter thread where I documented the process from start to finish: https://twitter.com/signalnerve/... By the way, if you're on the fence about whether the course is a good fit for you, you can get a sample chapter here! Would love to hear what you think, if you have any suggestions of things you'd like to see in the next version of the course, and anything else you're thinking around newsletters. Thanks, see ya! 👋

Is seven days enough?
Kristian Freeman
@nutpanda Definitely not! The course is divided into seven chapters that you can take at your own pace. NB is a seven email course, but I've very intentionally made it self-paced so that you don't get emails dumped into your inbox day after day before you're ready. I recommend taking it at whatever pace you feel comfortable with, and the PDF/audiobook versions will let you take it out of the email course format into other styles of learning that you might prefer!

Any tidbits within it about growing the subscriber base using ad networks?
Kristian Freeman
@aaronoleary There isn't anything explicitly about running ads to get subscribers, but there is a great deal of content about "lead magnets", which is downloadable content you can offer potential subscribers to get them on your list. I'd recommend combining one of the lead magnets (I have a bunch of ideas ready for use in the Appendix of the course) and running _that_ as the ad as opposed to just advertising your newsletter itself. Really good question though, I'll make sure to write that down as an idea for adding to the course!
