Hey, Everyone! My name is Steve Christensen and I’m a cofounder of Neuwly and I couldn’t be more excited to share it here!
We launched Neuwly with the assumption that many people, like us, see a direct correlation between happiness and experiences. Both Greg and I love travel, culture and all things learning but felt frustrated with the way we discovered and booked events. There were a lot of “list aggregators” out there but nothing that really took into consideration about how we actually like to discover things to do. Typically we want to know what our friends have done or what they plan on doing because they’re our most trusted source and always seem to give the best travel advice. The approach we favoured didn’t exist so we built Neuwly! It was an incredible way for hosts to list their events and customers to discover them in a better way.
We also truly believe that unique knowledge, hard-earned skills and one-off talents don’t come free and those who strive so hard to gain unique perspectives shouldn’t have to give them away for free. Neuwly allows anyone to list & monetize what they want right out of the box without any need for qualifying and it’s available for download today! At the moment our focus is virtual experiences. We know we’re not the first to play in this arena and we know we wont be the last, but we felt like there were a lot of shortcomings in the virtual-events space similar to those of the physical space that we could sprinkle some magic on.
By building a lens through which anyone can discover behind-the-scenes events and authentic experiences, we hope to help more people share their unique talents, ideas and perspectives while earning money along the way. We’re building tools that allow hosts to thrive in the 21st century and hope they can be life-changing for many! Like any new product we have a ways to go…but it’s pretty darn good knowing we’re on the path to get there. We hope to see you on Neuwly and if you do venture our way, we’ll welcome you to the herd with open hooves :)
I love this idea, its one thing to get travel recommendations from strangers online but seeing what some of my friends or even their friends, have done makes a ton of sense and gives social proof to these experiences. Smart
