Thinking about launching a podcast, but dreading the grind of recording and editing? Now, you can transform your newsletter content into a professionally-edited podcast, right within your existing beehiiv workflow — no fancy equipment or software needed.
I have both @Substack and @beehiiv newsletters. Both have pros and cons. But honestly, I don't know what one to commit to. Substack only makes money when I make money but is feature lite. Beehiiv is kind expensive for me (5,000+ subs) and feels like it could even be feature obtuse. Do I need all those features? Do i need any of them? I end up flip flopping every year. So it leads me to this question.
Do you use Substack or Beehiiv? And why?
As someone who just started a newsletter 10 days ago, beehiiv has been incredibly helpful. The dashboard is well-designed, and the features are well-thought. I really appreciate the polls as they help me know what my readers like. The A/B testing for the titles is super useful. The reports are great. I haven't tested the Magic Links, Referral Program, and Monetization features yet, but I can't wait. Great work beehiiv team!
Great product, fast and responsive customer service. Great for big audiences (we have 80,000+ subscribers) One issue: emails are not displayed properly on tablets. Would love to see this issue addressed!
Sorry beehiiv, you're awesome but I've sent 3 support tickets and thus far got zero replies. Software is great but I've had urgent issues and no support, so if something doesn't work for you, good luck figuring it out yourself. Also, the email flows/automations are limited to 30 day time frames, so we can't import our flows and are currently paying for 2 softwares.
