👋 Hey everyone! First of all, thanks @robjama a lot for hunting MyFocusSpace! We're psyched to be here. My name is Vio and together with @mistreanu_ionut, @saintandy, @vlad_cerna we are building MyFocusSpace, a virtual co-working space that will change the way we work remotely. It’s tough to stay focused - especially in 2021. - Many of us are all working remotely - You may face overwhelming tasks - There’s probably at least one dreaded item on your to-do list - You’re likely working alone from home and have to deal with distractions, isolation, mental fatigue. With MyFocusSpace, you can find an accountability buddy to work with at any time, anywhere, on-demand via 1-hour, 1.5-hour, or 2-hour video sessions. Step 1: We pair you with a partner, and you each commit to what you'll work on for that session. Step 2: At the beginning of the session, you'll briefly share with your partner what you will be working on and then quickly get to finishing your tasks. Step 3: At the end of the session, regardless of the length of it, have the chance to let your partner know how your session went, and even exchange interesting ideas and thoughts about your projects. @viorica_vanica Here's our story: Last year hit us hard, as the covid-19 pandemic forced us to start working remotely. At first, we enjoyed the extra time we got due to not having to commute for at least 1 hour a day, and for a little while, we felt more productive on our daily tasks. But that began to drop suddenly after a couple of weeks. Home as we used to know it, became our office. Somehow we started to work longer hours, not because we had more work to do, but mostly because we found ourselves doing all sort of other things while working. (not efficient, I know) Not to mention we started to miss interacting with other people. That brought up the questions: Were we the only ones with this kind of problems? It turned out: Some of us were unable to start working in the morning as they used to do back in the days when they had to commute. They were procrastinating with their tasks until late in the day, being unable to fully disconnect from work and relax. Others felt they had a hard time working on longer tasks and developed some bad habits of distracting themselves with news, social media, video platform etc. Some started to feel very lonely after a few weeks of working only from home. Even those who were used to remote work. They all wanted to connect or meet/see new people. Others realized how more productive they could be when working from home and simply wanted to become even more effective with their time and focus. That's what made us design MyFocusSpace: A virtual environment that we are building as the go-to place to get things done. If you are a procrastinator, a deep worker, or someone that simply works better around others, this platform is for you. What's our philosophy? - We want form MyFocusSpace to give you the flexibility you need. You can either start your day by doing sessions with a peer to get in the flow or keep pushing yourself at the end of the day and have some solo sessions in the middle. It is up to you how you plan and use it. - We don't want to stop here. - We are building this product for ourselves first because we didn't find something that checks all the problems. We believe that going from procrastination to deep work is something that is worth pursuing.

Congrats on the launch, guys! 🎉 I've been using MyFocusSpace for a while and got great experience with a product. It helps a lot when you out of battery and have a job to be done. Recommend this to everyone who struggles with motivating themselves. Also, like the networking part of it 🤝 It's an amazing product and I'm looking forward to using MFS more :) P.S - Would like to see more personal task management features (or integrations) ✅

I'm a writer and MyFocusSpace got me back to sending weekly updates to my subscribers. I used to send emails only on occasions which weren't super exciting for my audience. But since I hoped on MyFocusSpace seven weeks ago, I've never missed a weekly update. I also did some digging about the science behind it and it freaking works. I love it and think many other people also will.
