Hey ProductHunt data community! We’re excited to share some of our most recent launches, improving access, portability, and causal discovery of product opportunities. Motif is a paradigm-shifting toolkit and methodology for transforming, visualizing, and analyzing raw event sequences. Our customers love Motif because it allows them to ask questions of their data that are too cumbersome or even impossible to do with their existing tools. Some of our notable capabilities and recent launches are: - Rich interactive visualizations (pst Graph view is coming out of Beta!) - Small but mighty library of sequence operations (see how much faster it is when compared to SQL) - Incremental query engine (now with better chaching) - [New] Sign up for free, no meeting required (check out use case guides for smoother onboarding) - [New] Export results - [New] Causal Factors reports leveraging AI to help to discover product opportunities - and so much more… Try Motif for free on your local machine or reach out to get a demo with one of our founders!

Motif Analytics sounds intriguing! Can you share more about the types of raw events it supports? I'm curious about the visualizations—what kind can we expect?
Mikhail Panko
@star_boat , thanks for the interest! Motif supports pretty much any events. You can use CVS, Parquet or JSON files where each row is an event and each column is an event dimension. We have yet to find event data, which can't be loaded into the tool. Here are more details: https://docs.motifanalytics.com/... . Regarding visualizations, Motif has traditional x-y Plot and Table views, as well as interactive Tree (Icicle / Barcode / Flamechart) and Graph views. It's free and takes less than a minute to try on demo datasets, so give it a spin.

This is streets ahead of the competition - the graph view alone is 🔥 but I love the choice of the treemap for visualizing deeply nested sequences. The domain-specific-language looks a bit intimidating, but I can see how traditional SQL isn't suited for these types of analyses
