Creative Console is a modular, freeform control surface designed to streamline editing and make interacting with creative software more engaging. Suited for photo and video editing, color grading, virtual production, music production, and other workflows.
Came for the “enhanced creativity”, stayed for the enhanced email management workflow. If I had one criticism, it’d be the backhand compliment that the developers aren’t really showing you the potential of this device to work with every other application you use daily.
Granted, if you use an Adobe app or any of the others with integrations you’ll have a much more plug and play experience. For anything else, you’ll have to dial a little deeper. Put aside Sunday to take a long look at the keyboard shortcuts of your app’s menubar items. Ignore all suggestions, incredulously asking “Hey, did you know you can use your Monogram to control the volume, or scroll with your mouse?”. That’s beginner stuff.
I hate to be an advocate for yet another new shiny thing, but if you haven’t triggered two separate keyboard shortcuts through the left and right turn of a dial, and triggered a third by pressing it, you haven’t lived.
Beyond the main uses, a few suggestions for the people of Product Hunt might be navigating Finder, Markdown text editing, or web development with Sublime Text.
I have one of the older versions of this and love it! I can't wait to get this newer model. It makes creative work so much faster, better and more enjoyable.
