@alxhague Hey, Alex. I was a backer and I think you built a great quality game. The illustrations on the cards and the box in particular are delightful. I'm very happy with how you guys handled the Kickstarter process from beginning to end.
Just a quick question - when I played with friends, we had trouble with the rules. First round went as expected. The Second round was hilarious (just saying one word) and very very difficult. The third round was impossible. Is this what you expect? That cards are very hard to guess after the first round? Am I missing something?
@eric3000 Thanks! So there are a couple different levers you can use to adjust the difficulty. Using fewer cards per person almost ALWAYS makes later rounds easier, since there's less memorization involved.
For the second round, I'd experiment with using two words instead. For the third, you CAN use sound effects, just not "words." How strict to be about that is totally up to the group, but in my opinion, the rules are extremely malleable and if something is too easy or too hard, normally an adjustment like that will fix it.
But yeah, sometimes you can end up with a set of names with a lot of overlapping clue concepts. That normally ends up being funny—A Human Centipede + The Very Hungry Caterpillar was my all time favorite combo during testing—but occasionally it can be frustrating.
Oh—and just in case these were overlooked in the rules: you can always skip and teammates can guess as many times as they want.
