Building a community of good listeners is indeed a noble initiative. Good work @akranjan and @sasha_aery. The landing page and design looks great btw. Keep up the good work. Best wishes.
The feeling of being heard and understood can be deeply transforming, especially when life throws lemons at you. With a fast-paced busy lifestyle, it may feel burdening to talk to your friends and family along with the constant fear of being judged and criticized.
Such moments of emotional turmoil are common to all of us as a society. And the first-hand experience of this problem led to the birth of MokshIn Empathetic Listeners a.k.a MEL.
MEL is a safe and non-judgmental calling platform that aims to connect millions of humans in distress with those who want to help and are empathetic superhumans.
📲 MEL is a free, peer-to-peer, emotional support calling platform. It connects you anonymously with someone who’s searching for someone to share their distress with.
🤝 The platform gives an opportunity to be compassionate for fellow humans in distress. Empathetic Listeners are the kind-hearted volunteers who registered with us to help others in distress. They aren’t expected or need to be a therapist. All they need to do is practise the art of empathy and lend an ear.
🧰 The user-friendly, step by step guide helps the empathetic listeners to become aware and prepared of their role instantly by simply registering themselves.
⏰Keeping in mind, the value of time of these superhumans who are willing to spend it in helping others, MokshIn Empathetic Listeners get to choose their time slots according to their availability
đźš« At MEL, we value the experience of both our users and Empathetic listeners. A feedback form is always prompted after each call so that either party can share their experience and related concerns.
📚 Through MEL, you can also get free access to our repository that includes the relevant blogs, and experiences and testimonies shared by our community about their struggles with mental wellbeing.
Yes, mental health disorders need to be treated by Mental health professionals because only they are experts in the domain, but this shouldn’t stop us to build an empathetic community that is there for its people in the hour of need and act as a safety net. Because nobody deserves to be alone in this storm!
