MiniTAP is a fun sequencer that runs as a browser extension. It is controlled with your keyboard and it features an advanced clock that can be synchronised to live music. It connects to the current window via events. What to do with those events is up to you!
Hey there!
So, last week I was working on a website and needed a way to synchronise visuals with live music.
I've used MIDI controllers for this before, but I am travelling right now and don't have mine with me. So I had the crazy idea to build a browser extension that uses the keyboard as input and includes a sequencer. I gave myself 24 hours to finish it.
Of course it ended up taking longer, specially since I ended up creating a demo, a small landing, docs, and an intro video.
ā Ended up going from idea to launch in a week.
Quite happy about that.
Anyway, let me know what you think :)
Wow @kmkota0! This is so cool, can't believe it took you just one week. I would have spent that time just on the design š It looks so well made, landing page UX is spot on, spent a few minutes playing with it.
Might come up an idea to integrate this to my website. Thank you for making it open-source (starred on GitHub :) Do you have plans to continue working on it in the future? I think it would also be great to have it available as a stand-alone "library" such that we don't depend on the browser extension to integrate it with websites.
Congrats on this š You have good eye for detail. All the best
