A different kind of note-taking app: Like posting on social media, but in private! Minders lets you save notes with link previews and images and allows you to browse them in a chronological stream, making it easy to find what was on your mind days ago.
🤠 Hi Product Hunters and Makers,
If you're on Twitter/X, Mastodon, or Threads, you're used to posting short thoughts, links, or funny images. But sometimes you want to post those things only for yourself, to remember and to find later. That's what Minders is for! 😎
I originally made Minders because I thought it would be neat to have a journaling app that looked like social media. After building it, however, I soon found that I was using it for more than journaling. I use Minders every day to save interesting links, recipes, notes from books I'm reading, idle thoughts, and more.
Because Minders works as a stream of notes, it's easy to find what was on your mind a few days or even a few months ago. The app supports hashtags, just like social media, so you can easily find things that way as well.
If you want to remind yourself of something, use the re-post feature to post it in the future. 📆 It even supports quote-posting and replying to posts. Yup, ❤️'ing, too!
There's so much under the surface, and I can't wait for you to try it. Let me know what you think!
Minders is currently available for Mac and iOS only.
@radu_lupu1 Thanks for the question. The stream is really meant to separate topics, kind of like having separate accounts on Twitter that follow different users. Although you could put everything in one stream, you might want to have one just for work so that any work notes don't show up in your personal life feed.
Cool concept. You take modern social media technology and use it to document the own life and thoughts. I'm tired of seeing useless reels. Will check this out. Congrats to your launch! Btw nice slogan with anti-social media, you got me!
