@bentossell hi Ben, after spending about a decade doing big adventures (cycling round the world, rowing Atlantic, walking deserts etc) I wanted to try to help more people have adventures and fit them into their normal busy lives.
So the book is a load of ideas of simple things that you can do anywhere, with out fancy gear or needing to be a hardcore expedition person. It's a list of ideas to try to help encourage people to get out the front door and do cool stuff. There are videos of some of the chapters here: http://www.alastairhumphreys.com...
@marinmedak likewise! I've been living in London for the past 6 months and following Al's year of microadventures (http://www.alastairhumphreys.com...) has kept me sane living in the big city! First night sleeping in a bivvy on a hill and waking up was an experience I'll never forget ;)
@al_humphreys@marinmedak both. I had been ravaged by mosquitos, but it was 5am and the sunrise over London from Greenwich park was one of the most beautiful I've ever seen (not that there have been many) in our capital city.
