It is stunning what kind of economy has been built already around play to earn games such as Axie Infinity. With more than 2,5 million players, Axie Infinity and its scholarship program are supporting so many people around the world. The current processes of scholarship allocation are terrible for managers and scholars. The metacantina will change this. You only have one place to go to publish your scholarship and see applicants apply for your scholarship. You can easily keep track of all applicants and scholars. This is just the beginning. Another interesting part of the Play to Earn scholarship scheme is the scholar's side. There is a growing number of players that got their small shops or other businesses locked down during the pandemic. For them, playing on an Axie Infinity scholarship means to have an income again.
