MelodyScribe converts your MIDI or PDF files into sheet music annotated with letter notes. Easy, fast, and accurate MIDI/PDF to annotated sheet music conversion.
Hey everyone,
A good friend of mine, who plays the piano, mentioned his frustration with not being able to easily convert PDF files of sheet music into annotated versions with letter notes. After some research, we realized there wasn't really a lightweight solution available anywhere.
Enter MelodyScribe. I built this free tool to help beginner and intermediate piano players who could benefit from having letter notes directly on their sheet music. I understand that some purists might see this as a crutch, but the reality is that many players find it incredibly useful for playing their favorite pieces.
MelodyScribe is simple, allowing you to quickly convert your PDF sheet music into an annotated version. It even has the capability to convert MIDI files, though the results may vary.
I'd love to hear any and all feedback and I hope others find it useful!
Hey Ryan,
I'm curious about the accuracy of the PDF to annotated sheet music conversion. How well does it handle complex pieces?
Do you have plans to expand to other instruments beyond piano? It might be interesting to add features like transposition or simplification of complex parts.
Congrats on the launch!
@kyrylosilin Hey Kyrylo, thanks for reaching out! Overall, it handles complex pieces quite well, although it occasionally has issues with overlapping letters.
As for expanding to other instruments, I haven't given it much thought, but I'm open to the challenge if there's sufficient demand.
Thanks again!
