š Exciting news! We have launched the Medical Chat. š After one year of rigorous testing and fine-tuning, we are now confident to give it a full launch.

šÆ Accuracy Performance test: We have achieved 98.1% (637/649) on the USMLE sample test. As far as our knowledge extends, this represents the highest level of performance among question-answering systems evaluated on the USMLE sample exam. We also have achieved 97.8% (1245/1273) accuracy on the MedQA sample test. This outcome places Medical Chat in first position on the Official Leaderboard, surpassing Google's Med-PaLM 2 and Google's Flan-PaLM (67.6%). You can review this detailed report for the full evaluation process. The evaluation procedure is also open sourced in this GitHub repository. Anyone can reproduce the evaluation procedure following the GitHub repo instructions.
š” Medical Chatbot with cited sources: All of the answers generated by our Medical Chatbot are backed by real professional medical books and professional medical decision manuals. We have consolidated and condensed the knowledge point from the verbose text from those professional books so that all the knowledge served to the RAG context are the essence of the knowledge point, which makes our chatbot extremely accurate because the distraction text of the context are already removed by us in the knowledge base and we only provide the knowledge base with key points from the professional medical books, manuals, and articles.
š¾ Specialized chatbots for both human and veterinary: Recognizing the scarcity of veterinary-focused chatbots, we've developed two specialized models tailored to the unique needs of human and veterinary medicine. These chatbots are trained with condensed knowledge points from professional medical books, ensuring accurate responses for both contexts. ā Ask follow-up questions with the differential diagnosis report: Because the differential diagnosis report only has a limited number of words, the information conveyed by the differential diagnosis report is limited. If you still have further questions to ask about the differential diagnosis report, you can use the chatbot widget on the bottom right of the report page to directly ask further questions about the report.
š¾ Edit, Save, and Share: Create, edit, and save your AI differential diagnosis report to your private library or share it with the community. You can customize the report, save others' reports to enrich your library, or fork and modify shared reports to create new versions.

However, they lack HIPAA compliance for the general public, as their models are designed for broad application rather than specific medical confidentiality. š©ŗ AI Diagnosis: With just a simple line of description of the patient, the Medical Chat model can generate a full differential diagnosis report, covering sections like possible etiologies, Diagnostic Tests to further confirm the hypothesized etiology, Recommended Treatment/Medicines for the etiology, precautions about the patient, and follow-up questions that you might want to ask the patient for further diagnosis. It also covers the patient education part, for example, it provides Precautions At Home, Further Steps And Consults the patient should do, and Other Considerations.
