For the past 5 weeks Mayorship NFTs have been in beta on Superlocal. Today, we're opening up Mayorships to be collected by everyone who is on Superlocal! When you physically go to your favorite coffee shop, sushi restaurant, and anywhere on the planet you can mint a 1 of 1 NFT at that place if nobody else has collected it yet. Once you've collected a place, you begin to earn $LOCAL royalties when other people go to the places you've collected and check in.
The app over all is amazing and I’m so jumped about the Mayorship. Making coins when other people check in feels great and it’s got that new age version of 4sq vibe. Love it.
No affiliation with Superlocal whatsoever, but from the outside looking in… The velocity with which this team is dramatically transforming the platform is pretty inspiring.
