👋 Hey everyone!
Do you have a learner who's struggling with their math facts?
🦊 Mathfox is a free and easy to use math facts app that makes mental math fun and easy. I spent the last week building it as my son has been working on math facts. I wanted something that was quick and easy to use so he could practice every morning and memorize on the go!
Here are some of the features in the app:
📝 Custom Lesson Planning
Design the lesson on the setup page by selecting exactly which numbers you want your student to focus on and which operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division).
🦊 Peek Button
The peek button lets your student take a quick peek at the answer to encourage solving the problem via memorization rather than counting fingers or other methods.
⚡Instant Feedback
Your student receives instant constructive feedback on whether they got the problem correct or not. If their answer was incorrect a banner will show immediately with the correct answer.
📄 Lesson Report Card
After your student is finished a report card view is shown with a table of each round during the lesson and each problem. A column shows their answer, whether it was correct or not, and whether or not they used the peek button.
You can print the report card on your printer or use your system print option to export to PDF!
This will give you everything you need to understand what they need to study to get their math facts down perfectly!
Please try out my app and let me know what you think! Was it helpful? Is your student learning from it? Anything it needs to make it better?
Hey Justin, congrats on the launch of Mathfox! Looks super useful, especially for kids who struggle with math facts like my niece. Quick question--does the app have support for multiple profiles? Would love to have one app for all the kids to use. Great work and good luck!
@samuelparker Hey thanks for checking it out! The app will support multiple profiles because of how simple it is. It actually doesn't save anything between lesson so you can just start a new lesson with another student immediately after the first student is done. Print the students' results to keep track of their progress. (Or if you want to save paper, just save/email the PDF via your device's print menu).
Congrats on the launch! Mathfox seems like a fantastic tool for helping kids with math facts. Love that it gives instant feedback and has a custom lesson planner. The peek button idea is also pretty clever. My niece is struggling with her times tables, so I'm definitely gonna have her try this out!
