My eyes and me, we thank you :)
You should put it on chrome webstore if you want most people here to be able to try it.
Also, using `$("body, body *").addClass("mata-friendly");` in js make it quite slow on big pages. Couldn't the same be achieved adding the "mata-friendly" class on body and applying styles in css on `.mata-friendly, .mata-friendly *`, instead?
EDIT: confirmed ;) Made a PR.
@oelmekki Wohoo, this is awesome Olivier! 👍🏽👏🏽🙌🏾
At first i tested it on few websites, and it's still running well. But thanks for the pretty "performance fix" for this, will consider it to be changed.
And for putting this on the Chrome web store, i don't think i would do so. Maybe somebody wants to grab the codes and put that on the web store?
Cheers! 😀
Hello product hunters!
Here i announce you what i made on the weekend.
Yeah, it's my side project, to solve pain in my eyes when reading much blog posts, especially at night.
After tweeting to some people (more on it later, maybe on some blog post? 😊),
i've decided to make it available for everyone, also the source code, so everyone could be happy to use this and probably improve this in future.
So, let's discuss this for further improvements.
Let me know if you have any thoughts.
EDIT: Remove the upvote thing 😂
@moinism Hi Moin, thanks for your thoughts 😀 Here is the why (in a more detailed mode) :
I found that when i read much stuffs on white background, it hurts my eyes. That's why i created this product. When i feel i could read some article in a white background, then i will go ahead. Otherwise, i will press Cmd+E (my favourite shortcut for this extension), and suddenly the article will be turned into the night vision (which is black and white), and.., i continue the reading.
