Mantis is a live-audio chat widget which can be embedded into any website with two lines of code. It's primarily intended for sales and support, and can be used to quickly answer site visitor questions and learn more about user needs.
The idea seems great, but I couldn't try the product on your website. There was a giant arrow pointing at 'speak with us' but when I pressed, it was 'check back later'. I'm a bit disappointed.
@new_user_22a87c5c68 Hey! Thanks for leaving this comment. Right now, I have it configured such that when I'm away/can't take calls, it leaves this message. As a solo developer on this at the moment, it's hard to be able to take calls 24/7 :)
In the future, I'll likely add the ability to leave a voicemail, or some other async communication method for when that's the case. Even better, it'd be great to have someone taking calls 24/7. What would you suggest here?
@new_user_22a87c5c68 One of the core value props of a business adding this would be human on the other end of the line. I think myself and many others truly value when a business goes the extra mile to help you rather than sticking a bot in their place. That being said, it's not something I'd rule out trying in the future.
@sethkimmel got it! Well, than I think your ideas like voicemail or 24/7 support would be the solution. But it's not scalable and it will be difficult to provide b2b services with such business model. It will depend a lot on a number of people working in support. In any case, I wish you good luck:)
