MailTumble is a service that tokenises email addresses, allowing you to share your lists with third parties. Like a URL shortener, MailTumble lets you program in contractual obligations for emails and email lists.
MailTumble was created to solve a problem for Michael in his public wifi management application: collecting emails on behalf of businesses and then being liable for how those emails were used/shared, was a big liability. That company is now an API customer of MailTumble - we serve back to them tumbled email addresses, which we're able to regenerate at any time.
We took this core service and turned it into a dashboard for email list management. Now with MailTumble admin panel, you can set up a list with controls, for example, lock your list to usage for only people with a specific domain. The best part is no matter who needs to use your lists, there's no risk of "fat finger" mistakes exposing your whole list - all accidental CC's are masked by default.
We also realised in the process that this meant we were able to surface valuable usage information that would previously be missed. On our deliverability dashboard, you will see which emails are failing just because of large attachments, or because the inbox no longer exists.
We've made this admin panel free for usage with the first 5 lists, because we want to know more about your lists and what controls you want and need. Please sign up, have a look around, and let us know what you'd like next. In particular, we're looking to people about your day to day list management experience. If you are a data broker, club/association manager, or you're intermediating data for your customers, please reach out to us and tell us more about what would make your life easier!
