Trust is good. Tagging is better. Automatically tag your email using Plus Addressing or Catch-All method. No manual effort – everything’s saved to history so you can see who’s behind unwanted spam (if you receive it to that tagged mail).

🧠 I heard about “email tagging”
through my brother-in-law.
At first, I thought, okay, sounds interesting – let me try it.
👉🏻 So I started tagging my email with “+” in daily life to track
where I used it.
❓ (e.g.: you wanna signup on google.com and your mail is name@gmail.com, now you sign in with name+google@gmal.com -> all incoming mails will still show up on name@gmail.com BUT if you get spammy messages you look into the recipient, and if there is "....+google@..." you know who sold your data)
✅ Turns out: It actually worked.
I realized who was sharing or selling my email based on spam I received.
❌ But doing it manually was annoying.
I had to remember all my tag names, write them down, and it was easy to lose track.
So I thought:
🛠️ There must be an easier way – maybe some automation.
❗️I asked ChatGPT how to build something like that.
It suggested a Chrome Extension – since I use Chrome daily.
Then Claude AI helped me build the first prototype/ MVP.
💡 I posted the idea on Reddit
...and the feedback was 🔥
(the Original post:

🤔 One user said:
“I already use a Catch-All domain – it looks more native and bypasses ‘+’ filters.”
👉🏼 So I added a Catch-All Mode
(will replace the current version, it's on approval after I published the 1.0. version, finally, today)
🐍 MailSnitch was born.
Now I can auto-tag emails, auto-fill forms, track everything in history, and export it anytime (via email, CSV, copy-paste...)
💚 This was just a simple MVP I used privately –
now it’s real, thanks to AI and real feedback from the community.
It’s 100% free – and will stay free - forever.
I’d love to hear your feedback and ideas ❤️
@hamza_afzal_butt yes, it's like the typical Catch-All Domain -> everything before the @ will generated automatically (that version will come soon, I applied it to the chrome web store for the 1.1.0 version, it's in approval). Thanks for the post!

Haha, great idea! You could create a blacklist of companies that sell customer data. 😄
