One of the first things I did when I first started playing with ChatGPT, was ask it to write a story for me about my daughter - it was a hit with her, and it inspired me to build Magic Bookshelf to make that magic more accessible and kid friendly! This app is for any parents out there who have had the same thought when using AI. What is Magic Bookshelf? Magic Bookshelf is an app that puts your child in the Director's seat and lets them choose where their story is set and who the characters are, and then lets the AI magic create from there. It's designed to spark creativity and inspire a love for reading in kids by letting them see themselves as the heroes of their own tales.  Key Features:  👦 Character Builder: Kids can design their own characters using a fun and simple interface. They can create themselves as a character, or their friends, parents, pets - meaning they can create stories with exactly who they want to! (I honestly thought my daughter would mostly want her friends on adventures with her, but I think most of our stories have ended up being me and her…or her and the cat! 😺) 🖼️ AI-Powered Illustrations: The custom character designer means the app can feed detailed character descriptions into the illustration prompts and generate beautiful illustrations that bring each child’s unique story to life - it definitely feels like magic to see an image of yourself and your child standing on a pirate ship deck, or walking through an enchanted castle! ❤️ Safe & Engaging: Built from the ground up to be kid-friendly and safe, Magic Bookshelf is a secure platform for children to explore their creativity.
