When Whisper came out I was hoping to find an app to run it locally on my Mac. Everything I could find required you to run a bunch of terminal commands and setup dependencies, which scared me off of it. Two days ago I decided to have another look and found an amazing repo by Georgi Gerganov (https://github.com/ggerganov/whi...) and I was able to make a super straight forward Mac app to transcribe audio and video, MacWhisper! Has anyone been successfully talking to Cursor? I started using Superwhisper but having to copy-paste the generated transcription into Cursor is a chore. Looking for something that just works.

We all look like a bunch of weirdos at the office, talking to our laptops. But it's worth it. Typing is so exhausting.

I am dictating this with Mac Whisper. I could not imagine my work anymore without this tool. I use the Dictation Ai Prompts and it's absolutely amazing! One of the best value for money tools I have every bought. Must have!!

The free version is sufficient for a lot of cases. I use this mainly for subtitle generation and it is very fast. A great alternative to configuring the Whisper components manually.
