Chetan Venkatesh
Hi Product Hunt! Im chetan - the Co-founder and CEO of Macrometa here. Hello from all 110 of us in 14 countries who are building Macrometa. It's great to be here launching on Product Hunt. Please take our platform for a spin and let us know what you think about it. We have been quietly building Macrometa for 5 years now - its used by more than 80 customers from startups and small teams, to fast growing SAAS and developer platforms, as well as large global enterprise customers in telecom, video streaming, fintech, cybersecurity and more. We have learnt a lot during the journey that has helped us refine our product and make it easier, more powerful and dare I say even fun to build on. So what is Macrometa? Macrometa is the first of its kind developer platform for building apps and APIs that run in multiple regions, cloud providers, and a worldwide network of Edge locations (175 to be precise). We call it the "Global Data Network" or GDN. The GDN puts your apps and APIs as close as possible to where the people who use your apps are, to mobile, desktop and devices that access your apps, and to events and things all around the world. We do this so that everything is real-time and instant - everything from the web service request that accesses an API, which may be served by a bunch of microservices (containers and functions), that read or write data from and to databases, or publish/subscribe to events and messages (such as Kafka), perform complex queries and updates. We bring all of that complex backend machinery out of a single region or one cloud and put in lots of places around the world close to where the action is. Many people compare our value to what a Content Delivery Network (CDN) does for the web - like the web needs a CDN to make it scale and be instantly usable anywhere in the world, today's cloud, mobile and web services need a GDN to make them scale and be instantly usable anywhere in the world by bringing things like databases, microservices and more to the edge. There is a lot one can do with the GDN. Some of our customers like the telecom giants Verizon and Cox use us to process data from thousands of telecom devices in real time to make business decisions like optimize their network and services. Others like the startup appSecEngineer - use us to make things like serverless functions and data access faster and to replace expensive log services like cloudwatch with faster and more cost effective log analytics. DevCycle has built an entire feature flag management platform on macrometa that dynamically delivers A/B testing and cohort based feature targeting. The gaming company Arrive uses Macrometa to deliver highly time sensitive gaming state to all kinds games across the world. Like I said - developers in more than 80 companies use Macrometa for building new apps and APIs that run closer to users and devices - and all of them leverage macrometa because it helps you build apps and APIs that people love using. Take Macrometa for a spin and let us know what you think. If you have questions - my cofounder and CTO Durga, as well as head of product Justin Johnson, developer success advocate Dino, our developer support team headed by James and Luba are all here to help. šŸ––

Macrometa is a platform that solves a lot of complex problems, especially for enterprise developers. They can use the Macrometa GDN to build and run globally-distributed, event-driven applications without prior experience building and operating distributed systems. Blazing fast, real-time applications, running at 50ms or less for everyone on the planet - without having to learn any new programming paradigms? I don't know of any other platform that does that.

So impressed with Macrometa’s Global Data Network, a platform where enterprises and developers can easily deploy highly-scalable and low-latency edge solutions without the complexities of multi-cloud provider developer building blocks.
