Machine Learning Weekly is a newsletter with over 8,000 subscribers about machine learning and deep learning, curated in spare time by @alirezasmr to accelerate research.
I'm a researcher in this field, been a long time looking for something to collect and digest everything, and send it over!
So thought I might start it by myself, and it's pretty exciting! Your feedbacks, love, suggestion and subscription are truly appreciated.
Although I always sign to those weekly things and never have the time to actually read them. Awesome initiative that'll probably be more interesting to people like @imredlus
@arielassaraf had the same problem. Always wanted to start a side project that used machine learning to sort and prioritize these weekly digest newsletters.
@randomor@arielassaraf It's a good idea, but I feel feature engineering for what should be priority can be difficult since the metrics are different for everyone.
Some of the categories (like CFP, Studentship) doesn't have any specific factor (like popularity or views etc.) since the sources are rare or any other reason.
But I love to work on such section to automate TL;DR section! :)
@alirezasmr@arielassaraf so true. TLDR products are essentially prolonging people's lives by saving times, it's getting more useful as we need to process more info. 😜 My current MVP for such product is quiet simple: rank and cluster news item by affinity, topics, freshness, popularity using maybe a third party API like Feedly or Twitter. Gmail API also already categorize these digest mails to Updates. What's left is create a model that will do the above without opening the links which triggers analytics etc.
@randomor That's a neat idea; third party APIs could be useful to rank them. Gonna think about it very much in the upcoming issues, would be great to have your help if you're keen. :)
