Hey Product Hunters! It's Anna, CEO & co-Founder of Lumos. I'm very excited to share our product – Lumos – a mobile marketplace application that connects social media users, influencers, and small businesses with talented mobile content creators to get photos & videos for social media. As an influencer, I always struggled to get regular photo/video content for social media since my relatives and close friends were not into it. At the same time, professional photographers were expensive for frequent use, and the post-processing time needed to be shorter. Usually, I used a tripod and timer, so the process was very long, and the photos were dull. As an artisan and small business owner, my mom had a similar problem: she wanted to showcase and promote her creations on Instagram and TikTok. Still, she needed to learn how to do so appropriately for each social media. Our platform is simple to use and has features that make it easy for users to find content creators that match their preferences and budget. Our aesthetic yet user-friendly interface allows people to browse through hundreds of talented creators, view their portfolios, and hire them to create trendy, affordable, and visually stunning content on mobile devices for their social media accounts. This is a neat idea! How do you manage the disintermediation challenge, @anka_lumos? I.e. what prevents someone from hiring someone off platform that they meet via Lumos?

Hey @rrhoover, thanks for your question! We will be charging subscription fees from creators to be presented on the platform instead of getting a fee for each photo/video shoot, so it doesn’t matter for us if they continue to meet off platform. To guarantee a sustainable revenue, creators will need a constant flow of clients, and we will be paid for providing it. Alternatively, we may charge clients a subscription fee after a trial period to get access to our creators (different plans). We will figure out which option works better
