Thanks for hunting us @osmanify!
Hey everyone, we’re excited to be here! We launched Lucidpress as a sister product to Lucidchart (a diagramming app). We wanted to use the smooth drag-and-drop technology of Lucidchart to power something a little sexier than diagrams :) So we created a design and layout tool that lets you publish to both print and digital platforms in a few easy steps. Most people use Lucidpress to make posters, newsletters, social media graphics, and sleek presentations—both on and off the web.
Our goal is to be easier to use than InDesign, but more powerful and modern than Microsoft Publisher. How are we doing? We’d love to know what you think of the product, and thanks for checking it out!
Quick intro here. I'm the Chief Revenue Officer here at Lucid and joined nearly 5 years ago when we were launching our first product, Lucidchart. Since then, Lucidchart has done very well, attracting nearly 5 million users and growing quickly.
With that foundation, we were excited to more recently launch Lucidpress. We believe the market is currently overserved by the existing tools out there (that typically come with a steep learning curve and high price). So, we believe the market potential is huge for an intuitive, collaborative, accessible anywhere design tool.
Happy to answer questions about our growth, plans, etc.
Hey all - I'm the Lucidpress Product Manager. Our team's vision is to bring great design to non-designers, and we hope you'll enjoy what we've built!
Lucidpress has already changed design work for more than 1 million people, but we've got a great lineup of features coming this fall. Keep your eyes out in the coming weeks for CMYK support and the much-anticipated InDesign Import Beta, which will allow anyone to upload, modify, and collaborate on InDesign files. We can't wait!
I'd love to hear your thoughts - what else could we build to change the way you design?
