Loop Messenger is a messaging app that provides organized, spam-free group chats with less noise. The app is dedicated groups make group messaging simple and effective. Loop is the new kid on the block with an underlying mission to transform government.
👋 Hey Hunters,
With everyone seemingly focused on anything AI, we are still focusing on human connectivity and improving group messaging. At least no one can accuse us of being a fast follower; is being a 🐢 follower a thing?
We built Loop for two reasons (1) We wanted to built a more organized and less noisy group messaging experience, think a mashup of WhatsApp and Slack and (2) We hope to eventually leverage our community to transform government. We have an ambitious mission: https://medium.com/@tk-talks/loo...
We know we won’t be the number #1 hunted product on PH (given our small team and side project boot strap status). Nevertheless, we hope that some of you will find our product valuable and will share your thoughts and feedback. Currently, Loop Messenger is available for iOS and Android, a MacOS app with a Windows app in the works.
@abauer2014 building a messaging app as a strategy to fix government seems like a roundabout way to achieve that outcome... Why is it necessary to spend resources on such a project, considering most messaging apps fail to gain sufficient traction?
@chrismessina Hi Chris, As a Gen X product maker who witnessed how much harm social has done to society and the world, we want to be part of a solution. By combining a mission to transform government along with a messaging app we would have a natural platform to assemble, communicate and mobilize our community to take civic action to change representation in government. It's ambitious, but it's true to who we are and maybe the market will see our plight is greater than just building a successful messaging company 🍀
@abauer2014 that's cool. It's certainly a novel strategy!
Are you building on any open protocols (Signal, Matter, etc) or contributing to the open source commons?
@kingromstar Loop is particularly useful for larger group messaging needs, 7-8+ users per group whether for teams or business it's equally effective. Series teams and business ;-)
@kingromstar It's particularly optimized for groups with 7+ members due to our use of topics for organized conversations. Equally well suited for personal or business team alike. Think hybrid between Whatsapp and Slack.
