LocalSolo is a convenient place where employers can browse a curated list of high-quality local freelancers, view their credentials, and contact them directly without any restrictions.
They're locally focused so that digital agencies and employers can find high quality freelancers in their local city. High-end freelancers tend to stay away from 'lowest bidder' marketplace sites like Elance, so they are trying to create a resource catered directly to this type of freelancer.
They launched their MVP in late October, and since then they've grown to a community of over 1300 freelancers and 250 employers. These employers range from global digital agencies to small local business owners.
Thanks a lot for posting Bram!
Myself and my co-founder are both veteran freelancers who saw a definite need for a site like this. High-end freelancers tend to get jobs through word of mouth or else recruiting agencies who charge a whole lot of money. So we figured we'd try and build a local network of freelancers that would disrupt the status quo a little.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. And the whole site is free, so employers and freelancers please come and sign up.
