So, the developper has been really nice and gave me a promo code. What this app basically does, is taking multiple shoots from minimum to maximum focus, and letting you choose afterwards. I have never used the Lytro, therefore I have no point of reference, but of course don't expect the same results. What I like the most is the GIF function, which allows you to export as a video/GIF the animation of the focus. It's really nice and will allow me to create unique posts :)

@josselinco Very thanks for your detailed review! Yes, josselin you're right. The basic concept is simple if engineer looks. But no,no it's implementation is not, however, that simple. For example, In addition to basic memory pressure, Multi points LF mode(click the right button on the first scene) require to gain relationship between the point of adjusted focus and focus length. It must be accurate when we are measuring. And yes, the work doesn't end there. sort by focus, clear duplicated images, compact, map, normalize by screen coordinate, and finally save all of them to rdb which designed for its own. The whole process must need exact integrity. If not, all of photos data will break when restore them in the editer view. But important point that you should know is the version of Live Focus is only 1.0. It released only two days ago! So doubt there will be many changes and enhancements. Please look forward! @gitmerge So I tried out the app. I really like the GIF feature and thought that was an interesting touch! However I think that the GIF should be made to go in and then out of focus so that it looks looped instead of going from one focus to another and then jumping back to the original position.

Good feedback! Pallav Agarwal. Ya, In fact we initially think that exporting GIF is very optional feature in our app, it was not important. Because We thought main purpose of Live Focus is creating best 1 photo. But soon we've seen that many users really regard GIF export feature is important. First of all, Boomerang-like reverse animation effect will be added(you can immediately see it in the next version). And, your suggestion "point-to-point frame-jumping animation" is very welcome. 😍 We strongly consider to modify that!!👌 Additionally, We tell you that the result of the Full Range LF mode is more smoother than Multi Point Mode maybe you know. Because Multi Point Mode have not serial focused positions. So If you want to make GIF, We're recommend to use Full Range Mode instead of that mode until add new enhanced GIF exporting feature.
