Little Big Steps is an app to achieve your life goals. It asks you to mark yourself out of 10 each day. Compare yourself to who you were yesterday, not who someone else is today. Streaks for consistency. Target scores for effort. Uncomplicated simplicity.
Whilst achieving my life goals, get fit, eat better, I decided I wanted to keep track of whether I was trying and how hard I was trying.
I needed an effort tracker and couldn't find one.
I did this by marking myself out of 10 each day for each goal on a piece of paper. It turned out it worked really well. I became accountable to myself at the end of the day. It made me focus on two things:
1. Consistency.
2. Effort.
It didn't need to be more complex than this. Everything boiled down to these 2 things and I found when I did this, everything else fell into place.
I turned this into Little Big Steps; adding enhancements such as 'no zero days streaks' for consistency, target scores for gradual improvement, notes to keep track of progress and gym routines. The kinds of things that can only be done in an app and not on paper easily.
