@justinotherjohnson Hi Justin! Great questions. Since we wanted to see if there is any interest, there are currently no limits. We are working on it, and will introduce some reasonable restrictions based on your feedback. Happy to hear what you think.
@markbakker I feel like the most likely scenario will be video. Normal people are capturing 4K on their phones now and I regularly share video files that are 700+ mb. The other big audience is folks who work in creative software. Sending PSD mechanicals to a digital printer for a billboard or video projects for an edit can easily be several GB, if not TB.
Congrats on launching, I'm curious to hear more about how you made this one of the fastest ways to download large files? I always thought your internet speed played a role in that. @markbakker
@abadesi Hi Abadesi,
Thanks for the question! Yes internet speed will always play a factor in sending huge files. Unlike traditional file sharing services, our technology makes it possible for the receiver to begin downloading the file before it’s finished uploading.
This is interesting. I am guessing it breaks the uploaded large file into many small parts like a torrent file and then allows those available parts of the file to be downloaded until there is one completed version? This could knock off a lot of time between sharing large files and I'd love to hear more about this.
