👋 Hey Product Hunters!
@alexdanilowicz and I came up with this idea in college when we were debating who texted their girlfriends more. We built a MVP, posted it on Reddit, and went viral. Our MVP was a web version, so people were hesitant to use the product because of privacy and security concerns. We went back to the drawing board...
Today, we're thrilled to release Left on Read as an open-source Mac Desktop App: Github Repo
In addition to unique analytics about your texting habits, we're also exploring productivity tooling such as response reminders and scheduling messages ⏰. (Better search coming soon!)
Our vision is to build a fast and feature-rich iMessage client that can enhance our daily experience on iMessage (and tell us how many ❤️ emojis we send).
We’ll be spending the day here to answer any questions and collect feedback!
Happy Analyzing!
@hans__sep Hey Hans! Thanks for the feedback and that's a great point - we totally missed that. We've gone ahead and added a section clarifying pricing on our marketing site!
Oh my gosh this is so fun! I've been playing with it and sending stats to all my group chats 😂 Also thanks for the data that proves I'm the best communicator in my family and friend group 😂 I do a live stream on Mondays with a friend where I share my favorite product hunt finds of the week before, and you can bet this is gonna get a feature!
@britt_joiner Thank you so much for the kind words and feedback, Brittany! You're awesome 🎉
Will your livestream be on your YouTube channel?

This is a great app to use every few months to get a fun little overview of your messaging behaviors. Unfortunately, in its current form, there's little that this app does to provide daily or weekly value to users.
