I’m Derek Rey, Founder of Lasso AI, and I’m thrilled to share Lasso with you today! A bit about me—I’ve spent two decades in the trenches of sales development, helping companies accelerate revenue growth. In 2010, Mark Suster (Upfront Ventures, who led the Series-A for one of my previous companies) described me as the “guy startups want for sales” in a FastCompany article. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of helping 25 companies grow from $0 to $5M+ in revenue, and I’ve consulted hundreds of startups, many of which made incredible exits like Comparably (acquired by Zoominfo), Mira (acquired by Apple), and Ataata (acquired by Mimecast) As anyone in sales knows, the biggest problem for your team is finding net new (accounts and contacts to prospects, book meetings, win more revenue). In Oct 2018, I decided to build a tool that would help me exclude existing accounts and contacts and focus on net new opportunities.
