Hey PH,
@iamgdsa and I have been learning Portuguese for two months now. We weren't satisfied with Anki cards and other apps we found, so we decided to build our own flashcard app over the last weekend.
We curated a dataset of 2,000+ categorized words from the official Cambridge dictionary and used several LLM/Diffusion/TTS models to generate a dataset in 18 languages, with 25,000 audio samples and many images to illustrate the cards. Using this dataset, we built a simple yet slick interface for both iOS and Android.
We're releasing the app to the world on Product Hunt today, so you can’t find any more excuses not to learn English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Korean, or any other language you want to learn. For Product Hunt, we’re offering a 50% discount voucher for the first three months with the code PH50 (redeem in-app, expires in 3 days). It will cost you less than a cup of coffee to unlock everything.
We're adding new packs and images every week. Our roadmap includes additional images and graphics for kids, advanced categorization, and TTS so that you can speak to your flashcards.
I hope you like it and that it helps you expand your vocabulary. It's an amazing addition to using Duolingo or having language classes.
Oh wow @jean_gatt, you have my respect! 18 languages offline with audio? Amazing! 🤩 These Language Vocabulary Flashcards look like an incredibly convenient way to learn a new language or two. 🤓
