Hey Product Hunt Community! We’re super excited to introduce KYZON Space today and can’t wait to hear your thoughts! Massive thanks to @kevin for hunting us! So comes the age-old question for the modern era of work. What makes good remote work? What is good remote work? What even makes remote work – work? Truth be told… We don’t really know for sure… So why…? Why then, did we bring to life a new video collaboration tool when so many already exist? Let’s start with the way we work! Call us old school or call us slow adopters… But, we simply use documents. A LOT of documents! Whether that’s Word, Sheets or PDFs. We can’t seem to get past using some type of document for our work. Yet when it comes to sharing, presenting or just editing documents when we’re not together, the experience just isn’t as simple as it should be. What we want to do is create a virtual platform where people feel truly connected and be able to work from, while only taking 3mins for it to feel like home. We don’t really know how to do that yet. The technologies just aren’t mature enough for it to work well. So, we could wait… Be like others and build yet another video calling tool that uses screenshare for everything – documents, while filling the rest with features you need a whole certification course to use properly… Or... we could design the virtual working experience we dreamed of, but build the great experience for the way we work today. And next, we’ll build the experience for the way you work. And eventually… we’ll figure out how to build the experience for the way everyone wants to work. @jopie Interesting idea to cater for pair programming. We were just chatting about how we could make the experience of pair programming better beyond screen sharing. Maybe something like a VSCode embed? Implementation seems like the challenge. What would you say is currently the biggest challenge for remote pair programming from your perspective?

@jamesyang8 making this up on the spot, but would say: seeing each other’s screens instead of 1 sharing and 1 viewing and having consistent sizing/resolution (usually have to zoom in a lot on a larger screen to make it readable on the other side to the point where you can’t efficiently work anymore).

@jopie Are you referring to something like a remote access control feature where you can take over someone's screen for a period of time? The zooming and resizing is a problem for screen sharing since screens are rarely the same size/aspect ratio. Hmm we addressed this problem for documents by sharing documents directly to the meeting but doing that for pair coding would mean an implementation beyond screen sharing. Definitely things for us to think about!

@ihuzaifashoukat Google Docs was definitely an inspiration for our experience. It's sad how their individual products are good but they just can't seem to figure out how to make them play well together. Let us know how you go with Space! What are you currently using for your meetings?

Rock Solid with Immense Potential I was looking for a replacement for Sessions and KYZON came across my radar. Leery of being burned again, it wasn't until I saw one of the developers, James, interacting and answering questions with great articulation and transparency that I decided to start using it. The onboarding is efficient. The UI is clean and even with the, in my opinion, slightly odd dual Kyzon Space / Flow app access, it takes only a few minutes to orient yourself to the layout and get around. Everything I've tried works well, though there are some differences in how it executes certain tasks if you're accustomed to Zoom, Skype, Meetings, Teams, etc. This isn't a PWA, it's a full browser app, so there are tradeoffs when it comes to ease with screensharing and video sharing, but KYZON is aware of that and has workarounds in place to accommodate them. Again, they've clearly been testing and refining this and have thoughts/answers to every feature I've discussed with them. I have not put it through the ringer fully, but I ran a quick test run with 6 people, some on laptops and some on mobile, and had zero issues. Then I did another run with document sharing and that worked well. Scheduling, sending links, logging in, etc all work smoothly and quickly for people without accounts, which is huge for me as Skype is now dead and Zoom is getting useless for free use. If you need a clean, fast, easy way to meet with people? This is 10 out of 5 stars If you're an educator or interact with clients in somewhat unique ways (needing annotation or whiteboards), or don't like a couple minor steps to seeing video while sharing your screen, this is 5 out of 5 stars because James and the team seem to be working toward solutions in those regards and it's still capable of working in those cases if you make some adjustments on your end. I have some nitpicks, but most of them are UI preference, but even in mentioning those to James, he, again, had answers, thoughts, and insights into how they're looking to improve in those areas, and/or why they've gone the direction they have. I am glad I started using KYZON and am optimistic about where the app is heading. Hats off to the KYZON team.

Well if you need a video call tool Kyzon works pretty well. I have been using it for some time and it suits our company's needs. I was very surprised hot it worked as I have not seen any significant bug. well done team :)

I think it makes it much easier to take notes during meetings. It is also a nice feature that a person can be in different departments at the same time and talk to other centers.
