No one commented on this? This is great. Criminally underused, under-rated, not talked about enough, and appears like there aren't enough subscribers either (based on bottom of home page). I've never talked to the creator/dev of this, but I finally began learning vim with this. Just subscribed after using the trial for some time. I still don't know enough vim to use it fully or consistently, but I'm enjoying it.
@chase_ats thanks for taking the time to comment! and glad you find kV useful. to make it work under most circumstances under macOS, there's a lot of work happening behind the scenes. kV needs to handle apps that implement the macOS Accessibility, apps that don't, apps that say they do but return wrong data, apps with bugs, etc etc. the kV engines take care of that, but it's still quite the task to bring ALL Vim moves to macOS. a lot are already done, but if you find some missing, please feel free to request them on the GitHub repo: https://github.com/godbout/kinda...
thanks again!
kV is free to use but sleeps from 5am to 1pm during Winter. that lazy bastard. get him a coffee a month if you want to abuse him 24/7.
Vim is a big beast and although a good bunch of moves are already implemented, more will be coming continuously. feel free to request the ones you're using yourself at https://github.com/godbout/kinda.... enjoy the ride 🚀️💫️
There are a few rough edges, but building perfect support for Vim modes in the entire macOS is a hard problem, especially due to app developers not implementing the right APIs needed to do a really amazing job.
🙏️🙏️🙏️ means a lot coming from you David! you've been an inspiration when i started the project. still on it daily. no macOS for me anymore without kV :)) please report the issues on GitHub. always here to discuss and make global improvements. thanks a lot again.
