Our mission is to disrupt the way people network and discover new professional opportunities.
Powered by AI recommendation algorithms, Kaero features a Tinder-style interface for mutually-beneficial matchmaking. Our matched users then meet via in-app video calls to easily assess whether they are likely to do business with one another or collaborate in the future.
We enhance the relevance of the swiping process by structuring Kaero profiles with a focus on our users' tangible skills, objectives and personality traits, as well as give the opportunity to our users to give feedback on their new connections after each meeting.
We see video calls as advantageous in two ways:
-it helps break the ice in a natural manner and quickly evaluate personality fit
-it allows for networking, exchanging ideas and collaborating with people across the globe for a true widening of your professional horizons
We would love to hear your thoughts on our product and our proposed solution to improving how people network!
@rbor Looks 'interesting'... do you import LinkedIn profiles to build-up the deck of potential people?
And more importantly when will an iPhone version come out?
@exlemor Hi Emmanuel, thanks for your interest! At the moment you can choose to import basic profile info from LinkedIn such as headline and picture, but we don't (and can't) look at your connections to make a list of potential people. Does that answer your question?
We are currently working on the iPhone version so it should be a matter of weeks. If you'd like we can let you know once it's released.
@rborja yes let me know on the iOS release :) but without importing my list of connections and going after 2nd or 3rd degrees [since going have 1st degrees wouldn't make sense since I am already connected with them] what's the point? value add of this solution or maybe I'm missing how are you going to connect people? by what criteria and where would you get those criteria?
@exlemor Ah now we understand your question better :)
So the way people connect is through the Tinder-style interface (swipe left, swipe right); once two users want to connect with each other, the match is created and they can schedule a video call etc. Now the question is how we select the profiles which you will be able to swipe: that's where the recommendation algo comes in and the more you swipe, the smarter it gets. For now, the relatively small size of our userbase only gives limited capabilities to the algo but this will improve as we grow. Another feature we have is the ability to filter your shortlist by keywords, if you are looking for people with specific skills for example.
The 2nd or 3rd degree approach to networking is also interesting but not our focus at this stage, as we want to give our users the opportunity to make new contacts outside of their existing circles.
Hi everyone, and thanks for the hunt, Tom!
Very excited for our newly launched features (Android for now, iOS coming within a couple of months).
At your disposal for any questions/feedback/suggestions!
