Make healthy habits fun! Complete your daily routine, build a house—day by day. Stick with it, and each month you’ll build a brand new island. Explore expert-designed, simple challenges that help you build lasting habits—one step at a time.
Hi Product Hunt community! 👋
My name is Vojtěch and I’m the co-founder of a new mobile app called IsleGrow: Build Your Island, Build Yourself.
We’re two enthusiasts from Prague who decided to create an app that would motivate users to live a healthier lifestyle — in a fun and engaging way.
Together with a small team, we’ve spent the last year and a half building IsleGrow, and today we’re finally launching it officially. 🚀
The entire app is hand-drawn and carefully crafted down to the smallest details. To keep full creative control and flexibility over the visuals, we built it using Unity combined with Flutter, which (as far as we know) is a fairly unique combo.
So how does it work?
1️⃣ Create your own routine
Whether you want to start running, reading, or learning a new language — it’s up to you.
2️⃣ Try our challenges
Need some inspiration? Try one of our built-in challenges, developed in collaboration with experts.
Step by step, you’ll improve your sleep, exercise smarter, eat better, reduce screen time, try cold exposure, meditate — and much more.
3️⃣ Complete your daily routine, build your island
Each day you complete your routine, a new house gets built on your island. Houses are built gradually as you tick off habits throughout the day.
4️⃣ Start fresh every month
Every month you build a new island from scratch. This helps you track your progress over time.
Built 30 houses in January? That’s discipline. Only 14 in February? Time to refocus.
5️⃣ Unlock new houses and islands
Earn in-game currency for completing tasks, then use it to unlock new house styles and island designs.
You can download IsleGrow now on App Store / Google Play and try our 7-day free trial — no card required. After that, you can continue using the freemium model.
We’d love to hear your feedback! 😊
@olivia_johnston1 Hi, thank you so much for the feedback! 😊 Let me share a bit of my own "user experience". Right now, I’m tracking 12 habits daily. Since I’ve been doing them for quite a while, they’ve become pretty automatic. I already know I should take a cold shower every morning, get 8 hours of sleep, wear my red glasses before bed, and so on.
So, as a user, I usually only open the app in the evening – that’s when I get the satisfying moment of checking off all the tasks and building a new house on the island. At the same time, the thought of leaving the house unfinished usually pushes me to complete even the tasks I really don’t feel like doing that day. 😅
I love the idea of turning healthy habits into a fun visual experience. Does the app have any social features, like competing with friends or sharing progress?
thank you so much for the feedback! 😊You're reading our minds! We're planning to introduce community island sharing in future versions of the app. Users will be able to see other people's islands (on the server – in the form of a leaderboard – as well as their friends’ islands).
We're also considering adding a "co-building an island" feature, where users would have even more motivation to stick to their daily plan so they don't "let down" the others they're building the island with.
We’d love to hear any other ideas you might have! 😊
The concept is fantastic but how does the app maintain its fun factor without making the habit building process feel like a distraction?
