Hi Android/iOS/web app developers— So about 10 years ago (!!), I noticed that Android developers were having a hard time making icons that looked right. That led to the very first version of the Android Asset Studio [1], the predecessor to IconKitchen. While lots of folks loved the tool, over the years, folks shared dozens of feature requests — more sizes! more effects! support for more platforms and icon types! etc. etc. After about 3 years of going back and forth on how to better address developers' evolving app icon needs, I finally caved, and in mid 2021 decided to write a brand new tool that'd offer richer customization and a wider variety of platforms (not just Android!). And thus — IconKitchen was born! IconKitchen is designed for developers, especially those that don't also work with designers. It should be relatively easy to pick a few colors (there are even presets!), a nice font or clipart icon, and an effect or texture, and have something that looks great and is sized right. I'm hoping this tool helps unblock you with a great first icon for your next great app! Feedback is VERY welcome, and I can't wait to see the icons y'all design with this! —Roman [1] http://romannurik.github.io/Andr...

A fun tool to be used in my upcoming projects. Thanks @romannurik
Arpit Mathur.
Love this, thanks for making it. Do you plan to integrate your notification icon generator[1] into this app as well? It would be great to have one web-app for all my icon needs :) [1] https://romannurik.github.io/And...

@arpit no immediate plans for that at the moment; I intentionally wanted to scope this product differently. I do plan to ensure the notification icon generator in the Asset Studio still works so folks have a tool available for that (and there's always the one built into Android Studio!)
