How To Excel At Digital Product Managmnt Product Information and Latest Updates (2025)

We take a million different paths to product management, and there isn’t one sort of PM; a marketing PM has an entirely different job than one involved with payments. I didn’t just become a PM overnight; at some point, I was like, “Oh yeah, I’m a product manager,” and figured I should learn up. I didn’t want to get my core skills slowly and expensively by taking classes through Maven or General Assembly, and I didn’t have time to be fed through a straw via some podcast or blog. Those channels are great for awareness or entertainment but not core learning. I’m also skeptical of PM certifications because what I’ve seen of them is that they only cover the basics. As with any specialty, you need a solid book to build a solid foundation. Yet, based on my roles, the books I’ve seen on product management have been opinionated, narrowly focused, shallow, or unrealistic. I defined the goal for my book based on what I saw lacking in others. Product management's broad knowledge base is something to celebrate. I tried to capture that in my book.
