Homeppl is the world's first digital Rental Resume.
Tenants can finally aggregate their tenant reputation, and leverage it to apply to any property anywhere around the world, irrespective of their origin.
Landlords can finally choose top tenants based on real rental data.
It's a complementary service to any property stock web page, including portals, classified ads, and agencies.
Like @nogahsenecky, I think a resume of landlords is very important. Even more important than tenants'. Why? Same reason I want a review for a store not her customers. Tenants are the buyers, landlords are the service providers - I think it makes much more sense to empower the buyer, rather than the service provider.
Great idea, seems like good execution, but I'm not sure I want it to become a standard. I hate the thought of missing out on a great property because I wasn't sucking up to my landlord, or had a beef with a roommate, or just don't like having yet another public profile of me. I guess it's the same as searching for a job, except with rentals I think most landlords just care (or at least should care) about only 2 things: 1. Pay on time 2. Don't destroy my property.
Anything else is just... beside the point.
@danr_4@nogahsenecky Hi. Renting is like a relationship. I agree that the tenant is the buyer and he need to feel like one but also the landlord need to feel safe with his costumer. I agree that most of the landlord care more about paying on time and protecting the property but I think that we can show them to see the whole picture. what do you think?
@ohad_shalev@danr_4 As some one who experiences both sides of this relationship, I absolutely agree. Bad tenants and bad landlords can cause serious financial (and emotional) damage. However I feel that in many areas, the landlord holds much more power and can make certain demands to protect himself. The market gives landlords the upper hand, which is why I think tenants need this tool, but will probably never be able to force bad landlords to embrace it. In this case, maybe grading landlords without their voluntary involvement can help.
@nogahsenecky@danr_4 You are absolutely right! I think that our first step will be to rise up the awareness for the option to review your landlord and vice versa. It will take some time but sooner or later (We hope so!) bad landlord won't be able to find good tenants. another thing that can help (in case of bad landlord) is that if you start your rent and add your landlord you can always review each other. We call it "on going review" and we think that it can help. It provide feedback and it's like "putting a mirror to his face". Thank you for your feedback and support. Feel free to contact us.
