Habitive will help you stay motivated and build all the habits you always wanted, in a fun way. Cool things? • Minimalistic UI/UX design • Unlimited habits in a free version • Weekly schedule for goal setting • Achievement system for motivation
Hi everyone, I'm Magda, co-founder of Habitive 👋.
I got very lazy during the pandemic. In an attempt to change this, I discovered that without writing down my habits and tracking my progress, I couldn't stay disciplined. I tried many habit trackers on my journey and I even used one regularly. The one that helped me build my habits was very minimalistic.
There was something annoying about all these apps - breaking a habit into units and tracking them by minutes and steps. What worked best for me was simply marking them as done/not done like in to-do lists. The app I was using had flaws, so fate sent me the opportunity to co-create my own habit tracker (I work at FiveDotTwelve where we build apps for our clients on a daily basis, and this time we had the space to make something of our own).
So here's Habitive, an app I'm co-creating based on the experience of my own habit-building process and the lessons learned from that journey. In a nutshell, Habitive's features are:
🔸 Weekly schedule
To trigger discipline, focus on the current week and your weekly goals.
🔸 Unlimited habits
You have no limit to adding new habits. You can build as many of them as you want and change your life for the better.
🔸 Statistics and gamification
We provide a way for extra motivation and discipline. For each habit, you have stats and a calendar with a history of performance. And as you progress, you unlock achievements.
If you'd like to try this kind of habit-building, I'd be more than grateful if you check out Habitive.
I'd love to hear your feedback! 🦥
@magda_koluszkowska 🦥you get my vote just for the sloth creature on the homepage hahah! 🦥
I just tried the iOS app, it is really straight forward and simple to use, I made some habits but just couldn't see how to tick them off yet when I complete one for the day
I'll keep using it for the week and see how it goes. Also it's nice how it is, but it would be cool to build habits with friends too, did you consider public profiles or shared goals? will there be a paid plan coming, what's next?
@graeme_fulton thanks Graeme, glad you decided to try Habitive! 🦥 😀 with this ticking off it's an interesting thing. If you find something else not intuitive for you then let me know :)
Regarding further plans:
- I'm thinking about the monetization model, at this point I'm considering community support on Patreon, but I'm not sure yet
- we are currently implementing some small UI improvements - new icons, colors, etc.
- the big topic we will work out now is improving user retention
@magda_koluszkowska that sounds great, I like your approach, I think maybe a nudge to give you an app rating would be good - maybe it gives the user a credit somehow!
The Patreon could be worth a try, or even maybe try @coffee-button somehow! They are a great team @simonellington and @nigelpickles
@johanka_kucerova do you have your smartphone language set to German? If so, change it to English as for now it only works like that. We will add an option to select the language soon 😅
If you have a different language, I will let the team know something is wrong 🤔
@johanka_kucerova do you use iPhone? If so, try this:
Settings -> General -> Language & Region -> In preferred languages, move English to second place after Czech.
Let me know if that worked or if you use an Android device :)
Congrats on the launch, @magda_koluszkowska . The app is gorgeous. Love the UI, the subtle animations and the illustrations.
Just created my first habbit, let's see how it goes.
Thank you for building this and good luck! 🚀
Awesome habit tracking app, simple and fun to use. Love the icons for each activity type, and the sloth of course! The homescreen widget is a nice addition so I can see my progress and stay focused on goals when I open my phone 🦥🦥
